Prism App What is Prism?

Prism is a Firefox Add-on application that integrates web applications into the desktop environment. It lets users start web applications from their desktop, start menu, and dock, and it opens those applications in their own window separate from a web browser and without the browser interface (back and forward buttons, location bar, etc.).

To begin, install the Prism Firefox add-on. After installing the add-on from within Firefox, load TwitterGadget directly in your Firefox browser, then select 'Tools'/'Convert Website to Application'.
Chrome App Chrome Application Shortcuts is another way to use TwitterGadget like an actual application on your Desktop. To create a Chrome Application Shortcut:
  1. Load TwitterGadget directly in your Chrome browser, then click the Page menu page menu.
  2. Select Create application shortcuts.
  3. In the 'Google Gears' dialog box, select the checkboxes where you want shortcuts to be placed on your computer. (Desktop, Start menu, Quick launch bar)
  4. Click the OK button.

Create a Bookmark Applet (Bookmarklet)

  • IE: Right Click the bookmarklet above and select "Add To Favorites"
  • Firefox, Chrome, Safari Click and drag the bookmarklet to your toolbar
Firefox Sidebar Use TwitterGadget in your Firefox sidebar

  1. Load TwitterGadget directly in your Firefox browser
  2. From the Bookmarks Menu, select 'Bookmark This Page'
  3. Save the bookmark in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder
  4. Right-Click (Mac:Ctrl-Click) TwitterGadget bookmark in the toolbar & select Properties
  5. Check Load this bookmark in the sidebar, then Save Changes
  6. Click the bookmark in the Bookmarks Toolbar to launch sidebar
